Young Adult
YA stories I like such as Maze Runner, Hunger Games, Ready Player One etc, have inspired me to develop stories that push technological and fictional boundaries. I prefer to write in a timezone dubbed ’15 minutes into the future’. Hence they are stories that contain elements which could be just around the corner. My first one Game Over is certainly in that realm. I love reading Australian author Matthew Reilly’s works for it’s high action, fast paced delivery which I hope I’ve captured with Game Over.
Game Over: Spectus
(IN DEVELOPMENT)
Morty will do whatever it takes to win this advanced augmented-reality gaming tournament, until he discovers they’re subjects of a neurological experiment.
BOOK TWO: Game Over - Exile
BOOK THREE: Game Over - Infinity
Middle Grade
One of my favourite middle grade writers from a child was Stephen Krensky’s Wynd Family Trilogy with “The Dragon Cicle”, “The Witching Hour” and “Ghostly Business.” Today I enjoy Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series aong with works by Jenny McLachlan. I hope these adventure stories will resonate just as much with young readers today.
Alien Angels
Book 1: Shapeshifter
When an alien shapeshifter escapes a secret laboratory, Ben finds himself in the middle of a retrieval mission. With his best friend friend Mel and the town’s hermit Joe, they face formidable odds as the looming military have them surrounded.
Junior Fiction
My first reading experience was probably Simon and the Witch by Margaret Stuart Barry back in 1976. I loved the sense of wonder, imagination and humour. This is the style that inspired me to create Billy the Brave. Billy originated as a short animation script which I then fleshed out into a feature length animation. It was shortlisted in a screenwriting competition called Insight in 2017. Since then it sat in the drawer (like so many projects do!) so I had the urge to reshape it into a junior novel and had a blast doing so!

Young Readers
These were the stories I wrote for my kids when they were little and haven’t really seen the light of day until now! I’ll most likely stick them up online soon to see if other parents children can enjoy. So stay tuned.
